On the occasion of his pantheonisation on 23 June, discover the Parisian journey of Marc Bloch, historian and resistance fighter, through a tribute exhibition presented at the Archives de Paris.
On 23 June 2026, Marc Bloch (1886-1944) symbolically enters the Panthéon, alongside his wife Simonne, née Vidal (1894-1944).
France thus pays tribute to the courage of this brilliant historian who joined the Resistance in 1943 and was executed by the Germans on 16 June 1944 in Saint-Didier-de-Formans (Ain).
On this occasion, the Archives de Paris present a selection of documents from their collections tracing the Parisian years of the 84th person to be interred in the Panthéon.
