Texts have been proposed by the Antoine Vitez House to the reading committee of the Shakespeare Garden Theater and to the reading committee of first-year students of the Superior School of Dramatic Art of the city of Paris, who have chosen to introduce you to three texts. These voice performances will be directed by three members of the artistic committee of the Shakespeare Garden Theater with students from L'ESAD.
Overview
Texts have been proposed by the Antoine Vitez House to the reading committee of the Shakespeare Garden Theater and to the reading committee of first-year students of the Superior School of Dramatic Art of the city of Paris, who have chosen to introduce you to three texts. These voice performances will be directed by three members of the artistic committee of the Shakespeare Garden Theater with students from L'ESAD.
At the origin of this project, there is the desire to give voice to writings from today from other countries, already translated but not yet edited or staged.
Offer spectators the pleasure of discovery, and translators the possibility of hearing the text they translated in solitude, imagining it in the mouth of actors and actresses.
The Antoine Vitez House is an association that brings together translators and theatre practitioners eager to work together to promote theatrical translation and discover the repertoire of contemporary dramaturgies from around the world.
This objective set in 1991 by its founders, including Jean-Michel Déprats, Jacques Nichet, Jean Lebeau, ... remains its reason for being today.
L'ESAD (Superior School of Dramatic Art of the city of Paris) is one of eleven advanced schools in France authorized by the Ministry of Culture to deliver, at the end of three years of study, the DNSPC (National Superior Professional Diploma for Actors).
L'ESAD is the theatre department of the PSPBB (Forum des Halles, level -3 12 place Carrée – 75001). The Reading Committee of the Shakespeare Garden Theater is composed of members of the Shakespeare Garden Theater team.
At each meeting, two texts proposed by the Antoine Vitez House are discussed and debated.
