From June 18 to September 8, SLOW Galerie République presents a solo exhibition by illustrator Lucille Clerc.
Petrichor refers to the unique scent that rises from the earth after rain. A discreet and invisible phenomenon, yet charged with memory and emotion.
With Pétrichor, the artist gives form to this natural phenomenon through a series of original illustrations, specifically designed for the exhibition. She explores the intimate link between bodies, landscapes, and diffuse sensations.
Rain acts as a trigger: it reveals what was buried, soothes, and transforms ordinary space into a sensitive territory.
We discover vast, more or less cottony skies, vibrant green country landscapes, grey-green and saffron-yellow lichens, delicate mosses, and the presence of water in all its forms, both as subject and as medium.
