Carried by Dulci Jubilo chamber choir voices, accompanied violin, percussion, and organ, this program offers great intensity sonic immersion. Katharsis (2023–2024), for mixed choir, percussion, solo violin, and organ, unfolds in nine parts like vast meditative fresco.
Dedicated to Arvo Pärt and Veljo Tormis, work weaves deep dialogue between Greek and Estonian traditions, exploring inner resonance and musical language's universal dimension.
Solo violin and organ improvisation confers musicians absolute freedom (linking creation to human soul's unpredictability and instability).
In contrast, Hymnus (2026) draws inspiration from rare 13th-century Occitan-Cathar manuscript, mixing New Testament texts and "consolament" ritual.
In both refined and embodied writing, Christopher Gibert pursues light and austerity quest, enriched by contemporary verses by Frank T'Hézan, creating sensitive bridge between ancient memory and today's speech.
