The show presents Alceu at the peak of his art, performing his greatest hits with the energy that defines him on stage. Alongside songs such as Anunciação, Belle de Jour and Tropicana, the concert revisits his entire artistic journey, from the beginnings to the present day.

The musical saga of Alceu Valença begins with Papagaio do Futuro, performed alongside Geraldo Azevedo and Jackson do Pandeiro at the 1972 International Song Festival.

” The concert traverses the deep cultural landscapes of Brazil through songs such as Cabelo no Pente, Coração Bobo and Cavalo de Pau, closely tied to the very essence of Alceu Valença's musical identity.

From his childhood at the Fazenda Riachão, in São Bento do Una (Pernambuco), Alceu drew inspiration from the traditional festivals, markets and rodeos of the Northeast, the same sources that nourished the pioneer Luiz Gonzaga (1912–1989), the “King of Baião”, in laying the foundations for what would become forró.

Gonzaga's legacy appears in Alceu's new arrangements of Pagode Russo and Sabiá, the latter with a subtle Portuguese inflection that reveals how the melodies of Brazil's Northeast resonate with Portuguese fado.
