Nourished by the haunting rhythms of Maranhão, he has managed to distill this energy to make it a universal language: that of improvisation. On stage, he doesn't play music – he converses with it.
His drums dialogue with the brass, his silences answer the solos, and each note becomes an invitation to exchange.
Inspired by the giants of the Northeast (Hermeto Pascoal, Naná Vasconcelos), he creates a bridge between swing and Brazilian groove, where tradition is no longer a framework, but a springboard to the unexpected. With Isaías, the jam is not a style: it's a philosophy.
A space where rhythm becomes conversation, and where each musician and each listener is invited to dance on the edge of the moment.
