American-Swedish having grown up in Paris, Clara Barry enjoys creating dialogue between her multiple heritages through her repertoire. In the same vein of jazz history and creativity, she explores music in a spirit of creolization.

From American jazz standards, through Brigitte Fontaine or Gabriel Fauré, she interprets a rarely played repertoire, where humor, poetry and swing mingle.

Inspired by artists like Blossom Dearie or Betty Carter, she favors songs with rich harmonies and driving rhythms, that tell stories with wit, tenderness and depth.

Accompanied by a trio of complicit musicians, she interprets these melodies with authenticity, in a concert where the grandeur of American jazz dialogues with the refinement and poetry of the French repertoire.
