HOLIDAY GHOSTS (10:30pm) (Indie rock - Falmouth, UK) Holiday Ghosts – a prolific quartet composed of musicians and friends who infuse their recordings and unforgettable concerts with raw and compelling energy, that makes hips move and heads shake.
The result is pure and raw, unpretentious and uncompromising.
Drummer Katja Rackin and guitarist Sam Stacpoole share lead vocals; their voices unite into a harmonious whole, often joined by rhythm guitarist Ben Nightingale and supported by the soberly simple bass grooves of Morgan Lloyd-Mathews.
Call it garage, jangly, rock'n'roll, indie, punk, pop, call it what you like.
Since the band's inception, they have performed on iconic stages across the UK and Europe, from Latitude Festival to Left Of The Dial, from Dot to Dot to Misty Fields, from the Pyrenees to Chester chapels.
They have toured with leading bands such as WITCH, BODEGA, Shannon & The Clams, Juan Wauters, Black Lips, The Bug Club and many others; they have received unanimous praise from the press (KEXP, Brooklyn Vegan, The Guardian, The Independent, Stereogum, DIY, So Young, The Line Of Best Fit, Clash, Gigwise and many others), and have been regularly featured by BBC 6 Music, with their "Album of the Day" slot and live interviews.
