Récit symphonique
What if Tchaikovsky wrote today? What if his hypersensitivity found in the wounds of the living a new matter to compose? Between music and narrative, an invitation to reinvent our way of inhabiting the world.
Overview
What if Tchaikovsky wrote today? What if his hypersensitivity found in the wounds of the living a new matter to compose? Between music and narrative, an invitation to reinvent our way of inhabiting the world.
On May 12, 1877, in Tsarist Russia, Piotr Ilitch Tchaikovsky, aged 37, receives a letter that will change the course of his existence. Nadejda von Meck, his future patron, asks him to compose a piece for violin and piano entitled Reproach.
This work will never see the light of day. On July 13, 2026, we give follow-up to this order that remained suspended in the silence of History.
Through a weaving of music and speech, the orchestral collective Sous Influences makes this imaginary work resonate and opens a narrative into action.
Reproach presents itself as an open letter addressed to the audience: a musical and poetic reflection on the drifts of Homo industrialis – the devouring greed of some, the logics of domination of others – but also on the persistent fragility of hope. How to live better together?
How to inhabit, with rightness, the vulnerable beauty of the world?
Musical direction and narrative: Ernesto Insam Works on the program (excerpts punctuating the narrative): Charles Gounod: Serenade for winds Piotr Ilitch Tchaikovsky: Serenade for strings opus 48 Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart: Symphony in G minor KV 550 duration: 45 minutes The Symphonic Collective of Proximity – Île-de-France is a cultural association that works for the democratization of classical music by offering concerts, mediation actions and artistic projects accessible to all audiences.
Its ambition is to bring symphonic music as close as possible to residents, both in urban neighborhoods and in rural areas, by promoting meeting, sharing and social connection.
The association notably carries the project of the Sous Influences Orchestra, a collective of professional musicians founded in 2020 under the direction of Ernesto Insam.
Through symphonic tours, concerts in heritage or atypical places and original creations, the orchestra defends a human and ecological vision
