Between melancholy and hope, the renewal of Brazilian popular music with one of today's finest samba singers. Sunny! Singer, guitarist and refined composer, Rogê is today one of the main ambassadors of the renewal of Brazilian popular music.
Nicknamed the Prince of Rio nights, he set the stage of Gema, the famous samba club, on fire for years. A master of the art of style fusion, he became a major musician of Sambalaço, a fusion of samba and funk.
Now living in Los Angeles, he continues his commitment to making music from his country known far beyond borders and clichés. His latest album Curymar II is a colorful palette placing side by side samba, bossa nova, saudades-style ballads, all to a rhythm that makes hips move.
Between melancholy and hope, a cheerful nostalgia tells us Brazil's story and plunges us into the heart of its Indian and African roots. It is filled with sunshine and joy and does a world of good!
