Since 2006, singer Simona Parrinello and pianist Gianluca Di Ienno have built together a contemporary jazz nourished by influences from Duke Ellington, Billy Strayhorn, Kenny Wheeler as well as contemporary music.
Joined by Alessandro Rossi on drums and Michelangelo Scandroglio on bass, the quartet "Awaken" weaves a sensitive dialogue between voice, silence and collective interaction Simona Parrinello / vocals Gianluca Di Ienno / piano Michelangelo Scandroglio / bass Alessandro Rossi / drums
