Double bassist, composer, and versatile musician, Léna Aubert, performs within various formations with varied aesthetics: jazz, classical music, Greek music, Breton and Irish music, Venezuelan music.
Passionate about writing and arrangement, she composes and arranges for formations ranging from trio to large ensembles such as Big Band or more hybrid formations. For this open session, Léna invites Thomas Savy, a renowned clarinetist and bass clarinetist.
Through discussions, the two musicians realize that each would have dreamed of playing the other's instrument! For this unprecedented encounter, they will explore compositions and improvisation, with a subtle blend of these two bass timbres.
