Tony Chasseur Quintet

LINEUP: TONY CHASSEUR vocals THIERRY VATON piano RODY CÉRÉYON bass DAVID DONATIEN percussion GRÉGORY LOUIS drums Tony Chasseur is a voice and energy that have crossed Caribbean music for three decades, an artist who knows how to keep tradition alive while reinventing it.

For this evening, he reunites on piano with Thierry Vaton, with whom he shares deep musical complicity. Their bond goes back notably to the Big Band MizikOpéyi adventure, an ambitious project bringing together major musicians around a contemporary rereading of Martinique music.

This shared experience has forged between them a listening and freedom of play particularly sensitive on stage. Alongside them, Rody Céréyon on bass, David Donatien on percussion and Grégory Louis on drums complete the formation.

Together, they form a quintet exploring the full richness of Creole jazz, between improvisation and mesmerizing melodies. Tony Chasseur unfolds a singular aesthetic, constructed as a living dialogue between Caribbean pulsations, jazz harmonies, zouk and traditional rhythms.
