Vulfpeck 2026

Vulfpeck is an American funk band, founded in 2011 and based in Los Angeles. The band has released, on its own label, four EPs, six albums, as well as a silent album on Spotify titled "Sleepify," whose revenues funded the band's free tour in 2014.

Fiercely independent, Vulfpeck became in 2019 one of the first known bands to fill Madison Square Garden in New York without the help of a manager or label. Their latest album, "Schvitz," was released in December 2022.

Vulfpeck members met at the music school of the University of Michigan, where they originally formed a rhythm section for a performance at Duderstadt Center, a center dedicated to arts and research.

Inspired by an interview with German producer Reinhold Mack, founder Jack Stratton imagined Vulfpeck as a fictional German version of the legendary American studio musicians of the 1960s – such as the Funk Brothers, the Wrecking Crew or Muscle Shoals.

The goal: revive the raw energy and cohesion of the live rhythm sections of that mythical era. The band is composed of Jack Stratton (keyboards, drums, guitar), Theo Katzman (guitar, drums, vocals), Woody Goss (keyboards) and Joe Dart (bass).

Among their collaborators and touring partners are Antwaun Stanley, Joey Dosik and Cory Wong. Other renowned artists have also participated in their projects, including Charles Jones, Christine Hucal, David T. Walker, Bernard Purdie, James Gadson and Blake Mills.

For their first Paris concert since 2018, the mythical Vulfpeck formation will take the stage at Accor Arena on July 9th! + Mei Semones Mei Semones blends indie pop and jazz in delicate songs, sung in Japanese and English.

Based in Brooklyn, she imposes with Animaru (2025) a sensitive and singular universe, between refined arrangements and total freedom.
