Overview
The Institut National des Jeunes Aveugles opens its doors for JEP 2026!
On the occasion of the European Heritage Days 2026, Canon, the Coupvray Museum, Paris 1 Panthéon Sorbonne University, the Louis Braille Campus, the Paris Guide Dog School and the public institution Institut National des Jeunes Aveugles (INJA-Louis Braille) are coming together to welcome you on Saturday 19 September, from 10 am to 5 pm, at 56 boulevard des Invalides Paris 7ème.
Come and admire the historical heritage of a listed building and discover expertise in the field of visual impairment: the journey and training of a guide dog for the blind, exceptional and fully accessible photo exhibitions, start-ups specialising in culture….
Both self-guided and guided tours will be offered in these places steeped in history where Louis Braille, the inventor of the universal system of writing and reading for the blind worldwide, once lived. Guided tour departures: 10:30 am, 11:30 am, 2:30 pm and 3:30 pm.
Throughout the day, you can also attend concerts (jazz, variety) while refreshing yourself in the Helen Keller sensory garden. We look forward to seeing many of you for this day rich in discoveries (no registration required for either guided tours or the self-guided circuit).
