La grande époque Viennoise.
From Haydn to Schoenberg, the Great Viennese Era.
Overview
From Haydn to Schoenberg, the Great Viennese Era.
Jean Angliviel Jean Angliviel studied piano at the Paris Normal School of Music and then at the "New England Conservatory of Music" in Boston in the class of Gabriel Chodos. His repertoire extends from Bach to contemporary composers, with a predilection for Beethoven and Debussy.
The quality of his interpretations of French music and Debussy in particular has been highlighted several times by critics.
In 2015 and 2018, in addition to his commitments in France, he was invited to Great Britain to the Brighton Fringe festival and to the "Rendez vous" festival celebrating the year of France in Croatia.
He was also invited in early October 2017 to play in New York at the Kosciuszko Foundation. For the past two years he has developed a new project with his pianoforte, a copy of a Walter from 1792.
He travels with this magnificent instrument and offers a concert in which he plays works from the 18th century. It is each time an opportunity to present the pianoforte and the works to be played.
He was also for ten years pianist of the Futurs Musiques ensemble, dedicated to contemporary music, and participated as such in numerous world premieres. With several theatre professionals he has designed shows mixing texts and music.
Jean Angliviel recently recorded two CDs, one dedicated to Schubert and Schoenberg, the other to the vocal works of Dora Pejacevic (with soprano Sylvie Vucic).
