A tribute to the elusive and avant-garde genius of Erik Satie through a musical dialogue uniting his pieces with those of Philip Glass and my own compositions.

Silas Bassa Born in Argentina, Silas Bassa gives his first public piano concerts even before entering the Buenos Aires Conservatory. He then goes on to complete his training in Europe where he develops an innovative career as a pianist and composer.

His concerts in Europe and the Americas (North and South) and his recordings quickly earn praise from critics who celebrate his particular universe both very current and resolutely timeless, by turns meditative and fiery: "A bath of emotion", "a great journey", "a magical interlude", "a magician of the soul"… Silas's music is not played: it plays us, it listens to us in return.

Silas Bassa plays with rare presence: extremely restrained movement, vibrant stillness, almost erased but solid as a menhir at the keyboard.

Without applause between pieces, he maintains a hypnotic continuity that transforms the concert into an enclosed space that opens wide its doors to the interior of each person.
