Le Beau Dimanche : Sahel Ménilmontant + Dj La Bise

THE BARBOTEUR'S BEAUTIFUL SUNDAYS As summer arrives, the Barboteur sets up its Sunday quarters in Pantin. Every Sunday, the Barboteur welcomes you to its terrace with concerts, a chill food & drinks corner, and a fun area for a friendly and warm atmosphere. For this ninth edition of Beau Dimanche, the Barboteur invites Sahel Ménilmontant.

Beautiful Sundays are by the water. The story of the group Sahel Ménilmontant is one of an encounter: the encounter between the fiery rhythms of traditional Senegalese music and the contemporary sounds of Western instruments.

The group was born from encounters in the 20th arrondissement of Paris, first with two guitarists, Souleymane Thiello and Frédéric Cloux, one Senegalese and one French, then with the Brazilian Appolo Armonia and the Argentinian Andres Izurieta.

Since their formation in 2013, Les Sahel participate every year in numerous Parisian festivals, as well as festivals in Europe, notably in Belgium and Holland.

Their repertoire offers a fusion between the cosmopolitan Paris of Ménilmontant and the cultural richness of the Sahelian belt. The music is based on afro groove and world music that fuses the Sahel, Europe, and South America.

To extend the evening, DJ La Bise will take over with a 100% vinyl DJ set featuring warm and groovy sounds. Behind her decks, she crafts an eclectic musical journey where dancing rhythms, rare gems, and sunny grooves elegantly follow one another.
