ZETA (10:30pm) (Post rock - Lecheria, VEN) Venezuelan post-rock band Zeta is a multidisciplinary experience that uses its heavy, atmospheric sound as a positive force for change, considering music as a magic wand offering a space for connection and healing—KEXP.
The band is characterised by its emphasis on dense polyrhythmic percussion, oscillating between deeply authentic Afro-Caribbean music and the most visceral punk rhythms.
With atmospheric elements drawn from psychedelia and 1970s post-rock, they offer an intense and unique musical experience.
'Live, they are a supercharged rhythm machine, with lead drummer Eduardo Sandoval centre stage and an array of percussion distributed among the other musicians.
Around this thundering base, an amazing interweaving of guitars and voices weaves, dances and dives'—Bao Le-Huu, Orlando Weekly.
The band was founded in 2003 in a small Caribbean coastal town called Lecheria (Venezuela's smallest municipality, with an area of 18 km² and 79,000 inhabitants). They now reside in South Florida, USA.
