Overview
Giving voice to childhood stories to better understand our society. A show like a message of hope: that between two shores, we can build bridges. Taym is 9 years old when he arrives in France with his parents, fleeing the violence of his country.
When he arrives here, French, everywhere, all the time, all around, sounds like noise, never making sense, just noise. So Taym takes refuge in silence.
Faced with the little boy's mutism, his father, his mother, his grandmother, his classmates, his teachers, try to support him, each in their own way, on the path to a new language that would add to the old one without replacing it.
Conceived to be performed in a town hall, this show invites us to re-enchant ordinary spaces, to make today's stories resonate there. The Council Chamber, here, becomes that of a union: that of a child with his new language, his new country, his new life.
