An exhibition has no curtain-up time: it runs over a period, and the only question worth asking is whether it is open, and until when. This page answers the first half. It shows only the exhibitions whose run covers today’s date, in Paris and its inner suburbs, across every subject — painting, photography, contemporary art, history, science, fashion and immersive walkthroughs. Shows announced but not yet open are therefore excluded, as are those that have just closed.

That leaves the question of weekly closing days, which this page cannot settle for you: most Paris museums close one day a week, Monday or Tuesday depending on the institution, and galleries and libraries follow calendars of their own. We do not print “open today” on the strength of a date range: saying a venue is open without knowing its weekly hours would be wrong one day in seven. The ranking puts what closes soonest at the top: the most useful order when dozens of exhibitions are open at once and some still have six months to run.
