EXPO "BEYOND BLACK" à Darwin - Semaines d’Information sur la Santé Mentale

BEYOND BLACK On the occasion of the Mental Health Information Weeks, whose theme this year is "For our mental health, let us open up to the arts", Beyond Black gives a voice to two artists, Yvana Bourlier and Clément Roulet, for whom art is also a way to express and externalise what is happening inside oneself.

The exhibition takes a colour as its starting point: black. Often associated with darkness, difficult periods or what we bury away, it becomes here a space for introspection.

Beyond Black precisely proposes to look beyond the black, to explore what is hidden behind it and to seek the light within. The universes of the two artists echo each other like in a mirror: figurative in the case of Clément Roulet, abstract in that of Yvana Bourlier.

Two different languages to give form to emotions and allow everyone to project their own story onto them.

Here, art becomes both a means of expression for the artists and a space in which the spectator can, in turn, recognise themselves, feel and question what exists behind their own blackness. And you, how do you perceive your "inner black"?
