Northern Lights
Northern Lights is establishing itself as one of the new faces of French “newcore”, at the crossroads of hardcore, electro, and US rap. Formed in 2019, the band has been forging an abrasive, modern, and uncompromising sound identity since its beginnings. After a first album, Hopes & Disillusions, then the EP Oracle in 2023, Northern Lights reaches a new milestone with Hemostasis in 2025. Conceived as a declaration of intent, Hemostasis reveals a more assertive DNA than ever: massive riffs, electronic tensions, incisive flows, unifying choruses, and frontal energy. An explosive mix that takes on its full dimension on stage. Between controlled violence and a knack for catchy hooks, Northern Lights appeals as much to fans of devastating breakdowns as to those looking for tracks that make an impression from the first listen. Often compared to acts like Emmure, Alpha Wolf, or Paleface, the band nonetheless develops its own unique signature. Since their return in 2024, Northern Lights has been playing back-to-back dates across France and confirming their rise to power. In 2025, the band particularly made an impression with notable appearances at Artificial Waves and Tram Fest, further asserting their place among the acts to watch closely on the French metal scene.
JIRO
In the immensity of modern metal, JIRO navigates boldly and imposes a sound that is uniquely theirs. Right between the rough riffs of Polaris and the harmonies of While She Sleeps, the band crafts organic and textured music. It is in the din of the Parisian suburbs that the band gave life to this soothing brutality, a symbol of an anxiety-inducing environment that one flees as much as one conforms to. Since its beginnings in 2023, JIRO has been building an empirical and unadorned identity, shaped by a taste for reality and a raw character. A first EP 'Elevate Spirit' is released in November 2024 and allows for initial identification work on the French metal scene.
