When filmmakers Jonathan Dayton and Valerie Faris heard DeVotchKa's evocative melodies floating over the airwaves of a Santa Monica radio station, they knew they had found the emotional heart of their film "Little Miss Sunshine. " This intuition proved prophetic.

The soundtrack and music composed by DeVotchKa for the 2006 film became inseparable from its story. The bittersweet orchestration accompanying the Hoover family's journey across the country captured themes of hope, resilience, and beautifully imperfect dreams.

This work earned DeVotchKa a Grammy nomination in the "Best Original Soundtrack" category, and the film won two Oscars.

Introducing the world to the group's cinematic sound and sumptuous orchestration, songs like "Til the End of Time" and "How It Ends" transcended the screen to become anthems.

Today, two decades later, DeVotchKa celebrates this historic collaboration with a special tour for the 20th anniversary, "A Celebration of the Music of Little Miss Sunshine," revisiting the soundtrack and score that propelled them to the heart of cultural debate – and reminding us that sometimes the most beautiful strokes of luck give birth to the most enduring art.
