Renowned for dense lyrics and introspective aesthetics, Earl Sweatshirt stands out as a poet of independent rap. MIKE, meanwhile, continues establishing himself as a figure on the New York underground scene, blending quiet wisdom with lo-fi sensibility.

POMPEII // UTILITY celebrates over a decade of friendship and collaborations between the two artists, exploring themes of memory, survival, reconciliation, and diasporic heritage through a collective sonic prism.

Produced by NYC collective SURF GANG, the album features 33 tracks telling an intimate story of experiences, memories, and relationships. Conceived as a dual experience: MIKE on one side, Earl on the other.
