To mark the Occitanie Architecture Month and the National Architecture Days, the MAOM invites you to discover "Méridionalité?", an exhibition showcasing the AJAP and other architectural pathways in Occitanie at Halle Tropisme. By bringing together, across all generations, all the winners of the Albums des Jeunes Architectes et Paysagistes (AJAP) based in Occitanie, this event maps out a temporal continuity. This invisible yet tenacious link is that of a demanding pursuit of architectural quality, nationally recognized by the Ministry, which endures over time by reinventing itself with each generation. The question is whether there is also a spatial cartography, a unity of place, defined by Occitanie. Starting from the theme of Southernness means rejecting mere Mediterranean decorum to question the location in its fundamental truth, a stance towards the territory — a way of engaging with the bright light, the wind, the shade, the climate, the soil, and the materials that make up our landscapes. From the Pyrenean foothills to the lagoon coastlines, from the great causses to the Languedoc plains, the works on display show how each generation of architects and landscape designers has been able to listen to the long-term rhythm of the Occitan landscape.

Opening on Thursday 15 October at 6 pm followed by a debate on architecture in Occitanie with the presence of the AJAP at 7 pm
