Tania Chagnot dans le Concerto en Si de Roland Dyens

A guitar concert featuring new talents Qianzheng Wang and Gabriele Imbesi, followed by soloist Tania Chagnot, accompanied by a large guitar orchestra.

The Concerto en Si, created in 1991 by Roland Dyens, Edition Henry Lemoine, will be performed by soloist Tania Chagnot under the direction of Alexiane Jehl, accompanied by a guitar ensemble coordinated by Jérémy Jouve and comprising students of Jérémy Jouve from the Conservatoire à Rayonnement Régional de Paris – Ida Rubinstein and the Pôle Supérieur Paris Boulogne-Billancourt, students of Tania Chagnot from Pôle sup 93 and the CRR d’Aubervilliers-La Courneuve, as well as students of Benjamin Valette from the CRR de Rueil-Malmaison.

Tania Chagnot began playing the guitar at the age of 8 with Maurice Rosset at the Ecole Nationale de Musique de Fresnes. In 1979, she completed her conservatory studies, earning a gold medal and a unanimous prize of excellence with jury commendations.

She then continued her training at the Ecole Normale de Musique de Paris in Alberto Ponce's class, where in 1984 she obtained the Diplôme Supérieur de Concertiste unanimously with commendations.

Between 1981 and 1985, she won several international guitar competitions (Carpentras, Sassari, Rome, Toronto, Benicassim), becoming in 1985 the first French guitarist to win the Concours International de Paris-Radio France.

Her career as a concert artist has taken her to Europe, the United States, Central and South America, Japan, Africa, and the Middle East, as well as to participate in various radio and television broadcasts.

Committed to contemporary music, she has inspired several creations (Felipe Pires, Williams Montesinos) while exploring a wide repertoire, as evidenced by her discography (La Guitare au XXème siècle, La Guitaromanie, Oceanonox, Los Cuatro Elementos…).

A renowned pedagogue (Diplôme d’Etat in 1993, Certificat d’Aptitude in 1995), she has taught since 1984 at the Conservatoire du Val de Bièvre in L’Haÿ-les-Roses, and in 2017 joined Pôle Sup’93 and the Conservatoire d’Aubervilliers, after having taught at the Ecole Normale de Musique de Paris (2012-2017).

She also gives masterclasses.
