Diiv

Hailing from New York, DIIV has made its mark on the indie rock scene with a sound blending atmospheric guitars, shoegaze textures and catchy melodies. Across its albums, the band, made up of Zachary Cole Smith, Andrew Bailey, Colin Caulfield and Ben Newman, has continually evolved its musical universe, exploring new sonorities while retaining a distinctive identity.

With ZIRP!, its fifth studio album produced by A. G. Cook, known in particular for his work with Charli XCX and Caroline Polachek, DIIV continues this evolution. The band develops an approach that combines the energy and independent spirit of rock with sonic experimentation and the melodic efficiency of pop. With this new album, DIIV also asserts its vision of The New Alternative, an approach that seeks to rethink the codes of alternative music. By blending underground influences, musical exploration and accessible melodies, the band champions an artistic freedom that refuses to be confined to the traditional boundaries of genre.

The New York quartet DIIV will return to French stages in the spring with four concerts, including a show at the Olympia in Paris on 1 June. The tour begins in Lille, at the Aéronef on 31 May, before continuing to Rennes, at the Antipode on 2 June, and then to Lyon, at the Transbordeur on 3 June!
