Venna's journey has so far unfolded largely in the shadow of big names whom the saxophonist has served with his talents as a musician and producer, such as Nigerian star Burna Boy on his album Twice as Tall, awarded a Grammy in 2021.
After two EPs, the young Londoner steps into the spotlight with a sumptuous debut album.
Released in fall 2025, Malik takes its title from the saxophonist's first name and seems rich with all the meetings and experiences accumulated over the years, elegantly navigating between jazz, bossa nova, soul and hip-hop.
The list of artists invited to lend their voice to these catchy pieces sets the tone for this natural eclecticism, from Jorja Smith to Leon Thomas to American rappers Smino and MIKE.
