La Boite

Presented by Acte 2 Théâtre A musical, poetic and burlesque show for ages 3-10 'Come closer, young and old, if you want to find out what becomes of old gloves…' Monsieur Paul and Michel travel from town to town, collecting worn-out and forgotten gloves in order to tell stories from their great big glove box.

What could possibly connect an intergalactic battle, a wild chicken coop, a former music-hall star, a miraculous catch of fish, a shapeshifting spider couple, a winter afternoon or a secret garden?

Simply a second life for gloves, offered with tenderness and poetry, set to music and, above all, plenty of humour!

Convoluted nursery rhymes, songs, whimsical and dreamlike sequences, tall tales and stories nested within stories, or a piano played lying down — this is a whole world drawn from the relationship and imagination of the two characters… and above all, from their inventive finds!
