Overview
The MEP invites you to a visit of the exhibition Martine Dawson — Faultlines, in the Studio space, in the presence of the artist and Laurie Hurwitz, the exhibition curator. A signing session is scheduled at the bookshop from 6:30 PM.
This encounter offers the public an opportunity to engage directly with Martine Dawson and discover her work presented at the MEP Studio.
Stemming from a research project supported by a Cnap grant, the exhibition Faultlines brings together a photographic series dedicated to the houses of Butte, an old mining town in Montana, where domestic space retains traces of a territory shaped by copper exploitation and the imagination of the American West's conquest.
Through photographs of interiors, exteriors, and everyday details, Martine Dawson explores the links between territory, memory, and habitat.
By combining contemporary images and archives, the exhibition reveals the house as a surface of memory where temporalities and narratives overlap. The visit is followed by a signing session at the bookshop from 6:30 PM.
