Thursday is dedicated to WARM UP in bars, in coordination with the Collectif Culture Bar Bars. For this evening, we welcome 3 artists from Nantes: MC MAX, PERSAN and NOTRE Damien, aka BBAY!

MC MAX

MC Max stands out for his remarkable ability to heal ailments with words. After fifteen years in China where he captivated audiences with his unique style and Mandarin rap, he returns to France with a sharpened pen and an undeniably unique journey. His disarming sincerity shines through in lyrics that explore the universal: hopes, sorrows, loves, and disillusions. His compositions evoke a familiar nostalgia while reinventing the codes of classic rap – as he himself states: “we make new with old, so soon I’ll be in fashion.” True to authentic hip-hop culture, MC Max recently shared the stage with references such as Sniper, Cut Killer, and Deenasty, demonstrating his ability to captivate diverse audiences. His upcoming album, currently in preparation, promises impactful lyrics and unprecedented collaborations that will mark a new stage in his artistic journey.

PERSAN

Nantes-based artist, Persan unfolds a universe at the crossroads of rap and folk rock, where guitar and voice hold a central place. As a songwriter, composer, and performer, he crafts organic and direct music, serving deeply intimate and resolutely committed lyrics. Between introspection and a critical look at the world, Persan explores the flaws of existence: the search for meaning, family legacies marked by violence, and the social and political tensions that run through our era. His pen, both raw and poetic, gives body to a personal narrative that resonates with universal scope. This project, co-constructed with producer and multi-instrumentalist Dust, favours a stripped-down and sincere approach, where folk-rock influences meet the energy of hip-hop.
