MASCARET hestenau occitan de Bordèu e Gironda - 19 de seteme > 4 de noveme

DOCUMENTARY BY PATRIC LA VAU Born in Saint-Justin in 1955 into a family of Landes farmers, Michel Carrère is a renowned chef (one Michelin star) and the author of several books on cooking. A peasant chef devoted to simplicity, Miquèu Carrère talks to us about the flavours of his childhood, the demands of his profession, his cooking philosophy and also, now that he is retired, his new passions: gardening, sculpture, writing and woodpigeon hunting (2025 - 61 min, Occitan with French subtitles). Patrick La Vau, born in 1958 in Gironde, always heard Occitan spoken on his paternal grandparents' farm in Dordogne. Outraged by the political marginalization of the Langue d'Oc, he strives by all means to promote it and keep it alive. A researcher, collector, lecturer, author, translator, and curator of the exhibition 'La Gironde occitane', he has also, since 2005, been a director of documentary films in Occitan, several of which have been screened on OCtele, the online Occitan television channel. Documentary presented as part of the 37th edition of La Semaine du Goût in partnership with the Vog and Utopia cinemas
