And you, what do you want to be when you grow up? How much PE Jennar must have hated that question when he was little… Today, the Belgian does comedy. And he justifies himself: “Well, I try, it’s pretentious to say: I make people laugh. So I prefer to say: I try to make people laugh”.

In his show “Ca ne s’est pas passé comme prévu” (It didn’t go as planned), he recounts his beginnings in comedy, the struggle to get noticed, the quest for an audience, his columns on the Belgian public service… and then the moment he’s thanked — meaning: politely fired. Once… twice… three times! He also talks about social media, that great modern construction site where, apparently, his cat can sometimes have more success than him. And then one day, PE becomes a dad. That’s when everything changes. Priorities, his view of the world... Between the highs and lows, the doubts and joys, he maintains a rather simple philosophy: it’s better to laugh about it. PE Jennar offers a show in his own image: authentic, touching and funny.
