The Sorin Zlat Trio is one of Romania's most prominent contemporary jazz projects, with a busy schedule of concerts at prestigious international venues. Founded in 2008 by pianist and composer Sorin Zlat, the trio is renowned for its modern sound, its balance of lyricism, energy, and improvisation, as well as its unique approach to reinterpreting the jazz tradition.
Over the years, the trio has performed at renowned festivals and venues such as the Montreux Jazz Festival, the London Jazz Festival, the Jacksonville Jazz Festival, Ronnie Scott's Jazz Club in London, the Blue Note Jazz Club, and Birdland in New York, where they have consistently won praise from both audiences and critics.
