The Grand Rex is very happy and very proud to celebrate the centenaries of two jazz icons, Miles Davis and John Coltrane (1926–2026), at an exceptional concert on 29 June 2026.
For this occasion, two great names in contemporary jazz come together on stage: trumpeter Terence Blanchard, an essential composer of film scores for Spike Lee, and saxophonist Ravi Coltrane, author of the soundtrack for 'Sophie et le Scorpion' by Tony Gatlif and supervisor of the use of Alice Coltrane's works for Sofia Coppola's 'Priscilla' soundtrack.
Already brought together for the music of Taylor Hackford's film 'The Comedian' with Robert De Niro, they celebrate here the tutelary figures of Davis and Coltrane by revisiting their works with respect, freedom and intensity.
A vibrant tribute placed under the sign of heritage, transmission… and the future of jazz.
