Overview

With a career spanning over six decades, The Spinners rank among the most emblematic and influential vocal groups in R&B history.

Renowned for their refined harmonies, timeless melodies and stage elegance, they have built a repertoire that has become an essential reference in classic soul music.

The Spinners first gained national attention during their Motown period with the track "It's a Shame", produced and co-written by Stevie Wonder.

The song reaches 14th place on the Billboard Hot 100 and becomes a huge R&B success, paving the way for the group's rise in subsequent years.

Their greatest commercial success arrives in the 1970s when Henry Fambrough, Billy Henderson, Pervis Jackson, Bobbie Smith and Philippé Wynne collaborate with producer Thom Bell.

Together, they contribute to defining the sophisticated sound of Philadelphia soul and rack up successive hits.

Titles like "I'll Be Around", "Could It Be I'm Falling in Love", "Then Came You" and "The Rubberband Man" become radio classics and establish The Spinners among the most essential groups of their era.

Over the years, the group receives six Grammy nominations, achieves 18 gold and platinum records, sells millions of albums worldwide and is honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

In 2023, their contribution to popular music is officially consecrated with their induction into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. Today, The Spinners continue to resonate their legendary sound with audiences worldwide.

Current members Jessie Peck, Ronnie Moss, CJ Jefferson and Keith Patterson proudly perpetuate the tradition of impeccable harmonies, cult songs and energetic live performances that have made The Spinners an essential reference in American music.
