Overview
« The show « Au sommet de ses désirs » traces the exceptional destiny of George Mallory and Andrew Irvine who, through their wild and brief lives and their desire to be the first men to reach the summit of Everest, laid the foundations of the greatest enigma in world mountaineering. Through the telling of their lives, I invite audiences to offer their own answer to the final question: did George and Andrew die having fallen short before the summit, or triumphant after it?
There are stories we never finish reading; this one has moved me, impressed me, affected me, impacted me and obsessed me for fifty winters now. » Greg Lager.
