Overview
Come and discover the new books by Jonathan Zaccaï and Sammy Lussan as part of the Paris en Toutes lettres festival 2026.
The programme: Surexposé by Jonathan Zaccaï (Grasset). Paul and Laetitia have just checked into the Bounty Club, a seaside resort in Cape Verde, hoping to enjoy a dream stay. But they have not reckoned with Paul's unpredictable nature. His stay takes a turn when a compromising photo of him, taken at the hotel, is posted on social media by an anonymous profile. Paul plunges into a spiral of paranoia. Who exposed him? While he lives through a nightmare, Laeticia, a star wellness life coach, seems to be thriving. Paul realises that his wife may no longer be his ally. And what if the truth is more violent than anything he had imagined? An off-the-wall thriller in which the trappings of luxury and happiness barely conceal men's cowardice.
Bernie Leibovitz by Sammy Lussan (Les belles Lettres). At 33, Bernie has achieved everything, except the wish to carry on. An advertising executive, he has followed the expected path. Yet, overnight, he can no longer bear his life. The office, the metro, his neighbourhood. Everything has become too much. So he leaves. Not to find himself. To escape. In Japan, he moves through bars, clubs, concerts and hotels. He switches off, keeping his daily life at a distance. But it does not last. In a world where nothing resembles him, he understands that the problem is not his life. It is him. Blending text and photographs, Bernie Leibovitz is a stark, lucid and uncompromising coming-of-age novel about a generation that has learnt to analyse everything but no longer quite knows how to live.
The talk is punctuated by a book signing at the Librairie Wallonie-Bruxelles.
