Cendrillon

and the Théâtre de l'Etoile. Directed by Rebecca Stella. Adaptation by Rebecca Stella & Danielle Barthélemy. Original music: PILI LOOP.

In a poor cottage, a craftsman lives alone with his daughter. He falls in love with a widow who takes him far from home. Cinderella must live with her two wicked daughters, who persecute her. At the palace, a ball is held so that the prince may choose his future wife. Although discouraged by her stepsisters, Cinderella, with the complicity of her reincarnated mother, goes to it. As she dances with a stranger, midnight strikes. Fleeing, she drops a slipper. The prince then searches his entire kingdom for the young woman to whom the glass slipper belongs. Despite the obstacles, nothing will keep these two souls from loving each other. Caught between tradition and modernity, Cinderella slips into the world of manga to tell her true story.
