Ciné-concert : projection de cinq courts métrages de Max Linder /Gaël Mevel violoncelle

Cine-concert featuring five short films by Max Linder, French actor and director of the silent era, accompanied on cello by Gaël Mevel at the Médiathèque Louis Aragon in Morsang-sur-Orge.

Max Linder (1883-1925) was a French actor and film director of the silent era. He created the character of an elegant, clumsy dandy, and his films are regarded as one of the milestones of slapstick comedy.

This programme brings together five of his short films, screened in the presence of cellist Gaël Mevel, who accompanies the images with live music. The cine-concert thus combines film projection and music performed on stage, in keeping with an old tradition of silent cinema.

The Médiathèque Louis Aragon in Morsang-sur-Orge hosts concerts and shows throughout the year, and this screening is aimed at audiences keen to rediscover the early days of comic cinema.
