In 2025, Golfam Khayam, a young composer from Tehran, writes for Le Concert impromptu 4 Persian Hair, musical portraits of heroines from Ferdowsi's Book of Kings. The 4 musical moments are set with gems by Mozart, Boieldieu and Saint-Saëns.
The program is thus understood as an epic tale where orientalism and authentic Persian music converse: a story without words calling to the infinite of One Thousand and One Nights.
