Conférence : Philippe Charlier

Philippe Charlier presents his latest book "Les morts ont une histoire secrète", and the illustrated edition of "L'Histoire au scalpel"

Could the dead finally reveal the truth? A hair, a fragment of bone, a forgotten relic: sometimes it takes next to nothing to unsettle centuries of certainty.

Using the most advanced tools of forensic medicine, Philippe Charlier reopens the most fascinating files of our past and reveals what History, belief and legend have left in the shadows.

From crypts to laboratories, from reliquaries to royal burial sites, the researcher leads us into a gripping historical investigation, where every discovery brings you closer to the most troubling secrets the dead have left for the living.

Talk followed by a book signing, in partnership with the Librairie Valentin. Booking required. Due to ongoing works at the Mohammed Arkoun library, the talk will take place at the BiLiPo (Bibliothèque des Littératures Policières).
