Overview
Based in Marseille, his home port, this globe-trotter spreads a mixed-heritage music blending afrobeat, kompa and hip-hop, driven by a sunny and unifying energy.
Championed by media outlets such as France Inter, FIP and Radio Nova, David Walters combines electronic beats, acoustic folk and Afro-Caribbean influences.
After several years devoted to television (Les Nouveaux Explorateurs on Canal+), he made a much-noticed comeback in 2020 with Soleil Kreyol.
His single Kité Koulé, taken from the album Ti Love – 2026, marks a collaboration with Keziah Jones and blends groove and spirituality by evoking Manman Dlo, a figure of the oceans and of memory, in an invitation to dance with the currents of life, somewhere between intimate and universal.
