About — The venue

L'Olympia is the most mythical music-hall venue in Paris. Located at 28 boulevard des Capucines in the 9th arrondissement, it opened in 1893 and was revived in 1954 by Bruno Coquatrix, whose name it now carries—Olympia Bruno Coquatrix. Its red-lettered facade is one of the most recognizable images in French musical life. With a capacity of approximately 2,000 seats, the Olympia hosts French chanson and international artists, from variety to rock through jazz and comedy. Performing there remains a consecration for many artists. The venue is served by the Opéra and Madeleine metro stations.
