At La Fab., in the 13th arrondissement, the exhibition “Éloge du trait” explores the richness of the line in all its forms. Drawings, photographs, sculptures and installations from the agnès b. collection make up a itinerary in which the stroke becomes a common language between the works.

The exhibition Éloge du trait takes as its starting point the poem Aventures de lignes by writer Henri Michaux, written after the discovery of a painting by Paul Klee. In it, the poet captures the movement and musicality of the line in its emergence, at once fragile and ephemeral.

This attention to the stroke as a primary gesture, at the fragile moment when a line begins to exist, gives breath to the whole exhibition.
