🌊Second COLD WAVE special on the French scene🌊

LOVATARAXX + YEARS OF SHAME + ST. PYTHON // Lille, La Malterie

🌊LOVATARAXX (Lyon) has been exploring the depths of minimal wave for around ten years. The Lyon-based duo surrounds itself with corrosive synthesisers, cutting drum machines, neon lights and televisions projecting subliminal messages. Haunting vocals and melodies inspired by John Carpenter resonate with a familiar sense of strangeness.

🌊YEARS OF SHAME (Paris) gives voice to a breath of sadness over embers that are still warm. Conceived between Paris and Rennes, this new project led by Berne Evol and Brice Delourmel delivers a debut album whose richness comes from its contrasts. On Primary, the duo's cold wave roots absorb more and more industrial vibes and spread onto the dancefloor. A collection of songs that reflects the background of its founders, who have already made their mark with Dead. and Giirls as creators of some of the finest work in the French cold scene in the mid-2020s.

🌊ST PYTHON (Valenciennes) A post-punk quartet from Valenciennes playing fearless music, with lyrics in French, blending punk rhythms with electronic, pop and noise sounds. Much like a coffee-and-cigarette break at a crowded motorway service area in the middle of the summer changeover between July and August holidaymakers, at the crossroads of Fontaines D.C., Gwendoline and Gurriers

Discriminatory behaviour and remarks, as well as merchandise from far-right groups, are not tolerated at our concerts.
