En écho à Vassily Kandinsky et à la rencontre du Quatuor Kandinsky

The Église Notre-Dame de Donnemarie-Dontilly welcomes the Quatuor Kandinsky for a show in resonance with the work of painter Vassily Kandinsky.

This artistic project revolves around the visual and theoretical universe of Wassily Kandinsky, a major figure in abstract art. On stage, the Quatuor Kandinsky offers a sensitive reading where sounds dialogue with the painter's compositions and aesthetic principles, exploring the correspondences between colors, forms, and music.

The audience is invited to settle into the nave of the Église Notre-Dame de Donnemarie-Dontilly to attend this performance. This heritage venue offers a unique acoustics that fosters attentive listening to this program. The staging highlights the precision of the musical interpretation against pictorial abstraction, in an approach aimed at enthusiasts of artistic crossovers.

This proposal is part of the venue's cultural programming and offers the opportunity to discover an original interpretation of a classical or contemporary repertoire put into perspective with Kandinsky's theoretical writings on spirituality in art.
