Exposition « Chroniques Charognardes »à La Monstrueuse Galerie

Chroniques Charognardes. And among the remains, those that persist... Hyenas, vultures, ravens. Wrecks, concrete, scrap metal. Fibres, bone, flesh. Piles of matter and relentless line work.

Drawing and sculpture converse, from small formats to monumental pieces, composing a strange inventory of the world's leftovers: a dark bestiary, devastated landscapes, fragile forms sometimes on the verge of collapse.

Charcoal, black stone, hemp and concrete become the guiding threads of this universe, at times mineral, at times organic, almost tactile, where everything unravels and transforms. For in the ruin, something resists. The scavengers rummage, recover, transform.

They are not the guardians of a vanished world, but those who already inhabit what comes after.

Chroniques Charognardes is thus less a tale of disappearance than a hymn to the persistence of the living: a journey through darkness turned into matter, where light always ends up finding a way through and where beauty emerges precisely where it is least expected.
