Overview
Solo exhibition by the artist Édouard Prulhière.
Having studied in France at the École des Beaux-Arts in Paris and at Hunter College in New York, where he lived for 16 years, Édouard Prulhière has spent the last thirty years developing a protean form of painting. His painting-sculpture-installation journey is neither framed nor unidirectional. It does not fit into any particular trend, even though his artistic maturity took shape in 1990s New York. Rooted in a modernity where every discovery is a conquest forged from renunciations, anathemas, choices and existential doubts, Prulhière breaks free from codes with the liberty of someone who cares nothing for tomorrow; a contagious delight.
